About the author.
I was born in Guyana, Plantation Schoon Ord which I believe is in Essequibo? and I had three siblings, two boys and a girl, My father was an overseer and my mother a housewife.
We lived in Georgetown and went to Brickdam School because we were Roman Catholics, We moved from Georgetown to Mahaica, then Buxton but then we came back to Georgetown mainly for education.
We came to England in the late 50's early 60's when the trouble started and a lot of people were leaving. I have lived in England for 55 years and I have two grown up children and five grandchildren.
